“Bioremediation process is safe”.

Publications and media

“Bioremediation is a safe process and has scientific backing”, this was the phrase highlighted in the Saturday September 9 edition of La Estrella de Valparaíso, which published an interview with the Environmental Manager of Las Salinas, Camilo Quiroga. The professional referred in detail to the project that Las Salinas is preparing to complete the remediation of the land, through the nature-based technique known as Bioremediation, which is effective in the recovery of soils, widely used internationally and very safe for people and the environment. Quiroga noted that the MInistros Committee maintained the environmentally favorable rating for the project as safe and rigorous, complementing the original RCA. “The Resolution of the Committee of Ministers is very clear and robust in its argumentation. It is a project that proposes soil remediation, which is good news for Viña del Mar and contributes to recovering the environmental balance,” said the Environmental Manager. In the interview, Camilo Quiroga also referred to the Informed Community Program, which will concentrate efforts to disseminate information to neighbors. He especially highlighted the Participative Monitoring Plan that Las Salinas must present to the environmental authority in the coming weeks, in which the Municipality of Viña del Mar has a key role.
