Last February, Las Salinas submitted to SERVIU a series of technical background information supporting the need to modify the 6 Oriente project, since, among other things, it makes it impossible to provide proper pedestrian accessibility and territorial integration to the sector’s neighbors, including the Las Salinas area, since it will permanently and definitively deprive the possibility of having a safe and level crosswalk at the intersection of 21 Norte Street and Alessandri Avenue, completely preventing the integration of significant sectors with the city of Viña del Mar itself and its coastal border. Below we present a series of images that clearly show how the intersection of Avenida Alessandri 6 will look if 6 Oriente is built and what Las Salinas proposes for this sector: a safe and comfortable intersection so that neighbors can have direct access to the waterfront through the future Barrio Las Salinas.
