Las Salinas ratifies its opposing position regarding 6 Oriente

Publications and media

With respect to the proposed 6 Oriente urban highway, Las Salinas declares its categorical rejection of this project. The Las Salinas proposal, unlike the 6 Oriente Urban Highway Project, incorporates a safe crosswalk, where the main focus is precisely on the formalization of pedestrian services; a level crosswalk provides a solution to the desire of the sector’s residents to connect the Santa Inés neighborhood with the western side of Avenida Alessandri to directly access the 19 Norte exit, a public space that also has a proposal for recovery and improvement, promoted by Las Salinas. In addition, it is configured as a comfortable and spacious bus stop so that both the buses that go to Viña and the buses that want to return to the north, can receive and drop off passengers. All of this with a native flora, which allows to generate a quality and pleasant space, where the vegetation becomes a natural barrier to mitigate the noise of the high flow of Avenida Alessandri, accompanied by a high standard furniture, to provide comfort and safety to its users. All of this allows us to improve the pedestrian territorial integration of our neighboring communities with the waterfront and the expeditious access to a sector where we want to develop a neighborhood with a system of good quality public spaces, parks and promenades of free access, and infrastructure of social interest.
