Schools, organizations, universities, among others, are the groups that have visited the Las Salinas site where they have been able to learn more about the remediation process, environmental recovery in the area, enjoy community activities and tour the work of the Plant Laboratory. The number of people attending these activities has already reached more than 2,000 people during 2023. For Pamela Saavedra, Communications and Communities Coordinator at Las Salinas, “this enormous number of people is a tremendous joy because we see that visitors show great interest in the different work being carried out in the field”. She added that “we have had cases in which organizations have repeated visits or invited more members of the community to come to Las Salinas, which shows that the work being done is interesting for their development”. For those who wish to visit the Las Salinas site to learn about the remediation process, environmental recovery or the plant laboratory, they must register in advance by sending an email to contacto@lassalinas.cl.
