During the month of May, activities will be carried out at the Las Salinas site, corresponding to soil studies to update information on its condition and characteristics. All the work planned as part of this study is safe for people and the ecosystem, and does not generate atmospheric emissions or other socio-environmental impacts. It will be a temporary and limited study; however, the use of mobile acoustic screens has been contemplated in order to reduce potential noise nuisance. The studies will last five weeks, during which time manual excavations and the use of drilling machinery will be carried out by a professional and technical team of seven people in total. These activities will be carried out in the southern sector of the Las Salinas site, between 18 and 19 North and between Jorge Montt Avenue to the west and the hillside to the east. It is necessary to emphasize that this activity is not part of the environmental cleanup procedures contemplated in the project and therefore does not correspond to the beginning of its execution. Finally, it is of our utmost interest that this information can be known by all the members of the community, making available a copy of the project’s environmental report, which will be published in our social networks.
