Over the weekend, several food carts were set up on 19 Norte and Jorge Montt, an activity that – although it is summertime – allows the street to be used as a public space that not only favors movement, but also conversation and local economy. This shows that public spaces should not only be considered as parks, squares or even a mall. The streets are arteries that connect the city, but also spaces that can host social, cultural and commercial activities in an interesting exercise of citizen coexistence.
