Continuing with the conversation with the city of Viña del Mar, on Tuesday, May 15, Inmobiliaria Las Salinas invited numerous members of the community to an Urban Meeting to discuss and debate the possibilities of collaboration in the urban project for the new Las Salinas neighborhood. The day began with the words of Esteban Undurraga, Development Manager of Inmobiliaria Las Salinas, who invited to talk and work from the potentials of the city, rather than from the problems. In order to generate the city context to open the conversation, two guests made presentations: Marcelo Ruiz, a professional of Urban Consulting of the Municipality of Viña del Mar, who presented a summary of the proposals generated by the Infrastructure Council for Sustainable Mobility in Valparaiso; and the PUCV professor, Luis Alvarez, who showed his proposal for the environmental-urban regeneration of the MargaMarga. After answering questions from the audience about the city and the Las Salinas project, the international firm Sasaki Associates -responsible for the development of the master plan for the neighborhood- showed the boundary conditions and opportunities for collaboration for the project, which gave way to a plenary conversation and then to working tables. The day ended with a brief presentation of the most relevant aspects raised by each working group, highlighting issues such as mobility, environment, mixed use, urban volume and connectivity.
