The Viña del Mar Urban Panel, an initiative of Las Salinas that invites local urban actors to think about the city from a global vision of the territory, began with a high level of participation. The purpose is to generate a space to talk and debate about future urban projects from a multi-sectoral and personal perspective, that is, from the expert vision and as Viña del Mar residents who want to have a better quality of life. The first session, held on Thursday, May 23 at the Hotel Atton San Martín, was attended by representatives of the Chilean Chamber of Construction, the College of Architects, the Piensa Foundation, local universities and the Chilean Navy, as well as members of the Las Salinas urban development team. At the end of the meeting, Esteban Undurraga, development manager of Las Salinas, commented “the idea of this panel is that it should be a group that prospers and lasts over time, so that it becomes a space that collaborates in helping to raise issues and generate proposals that improve the city of Viña del Mar”.
